“My name is Essiful Michael. Mr. Fred Essiful and Mrs. Susana Ofori gave birth to me on the 21st may, 1993. I was born in a Christian home with my father being a deacon and it remained like that for many years. Assemblies of God Ghana has been my church since childhood, going through all the various stages to the adult church. Currently I am a bible student of the Assemblies of God, Ghana. Since childhood being a pilot or an accountant has been my dream and I studied to be that. I passed well through my basic education and went to Navrongo Senior High school as my first choice school offering Business. Even though my family has its roots deeply roted in Christ, personally, I had no relationship with God. I did what I wanted in the name of having fun. A brilliant young person, with a bigger dream, and having no passion for Christ. I went to church to please my father because if I fail I will be refused my weekly allowances. In school, it was a “church holiday” for me.
During the stay at Navrongo Senior High School, God revealed himself to me and it was a total turn around for me. Everybody was surprised including my friends. I lost good friends because of my change in interest. Moreover, for the time in three years I started going to Scripture Union (S.U.). That first visit began my hunger to know more about God and have a personal relationship with him. Rev. A.L. Fant of Wind and Fire Assemblies of God gave me a first prophecy about my calling into the vineyard of God but I still wanted to go to school. After school, I passed my WASSCE well and had admissions in University of Professional Studies, University of Education, Kumasi campus, and Christian University College to offer Business Administration, Marketing, and Accounting. I was keen to refusing the call of God and pursue my personal dream. God had other ideas as he closed all doors with only a door into ministry opened.
My senior pastor approached me with an interest in training me and working with him. He secured an admission for a two-year certificate program in Assemblies of God Theological Seminary. After completing, I gained an admission to study in Bachelor of degree in Theology at West Africa Advance School of Theology (an Assemblies of God Theological Institution). I will complete next year November in Lome, Togo.
It has been an awesome experience working with God for the past 4 years. Currently, I am an administration Pastor at Evangelistic Centre Assemblies of God in Pankrono, Kumasi working under my senior Pastor. God has been good and he has been faithful to me and his vision he has given me.”
